Food security topic of Summinars in July

The Leland Township Library is hosting a special two-part series to address food access challenges in the community, as part of the Leland Library Summinars. These events will explore local efforts that are being made to ensure everyone has reliable access to healthy, nutritious meals.

The Leland Township Library is hosting a special two-part series to address food access challenges in the community, as part of the Leland Library Summinars.

These events will explore local efforts that are being made to ensure everyone has reliable access to healthy, nutritious meals.

Session 1 — From the Heart, 5Loaves2Fish, July 23, 10 a.m. — Michelle and Bill White and Emily Kanitz from Lelandbased non-profit 5Loaves2Fish. Known for their compassionate “no questions asked” approach, they’ll discuss how volunteers come together weekly to create delicious meals for anyone that needs them. 5Loaves2Fish was created in 2020 to address hunger in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
