The Traverse City Junior golf Association (TCJGA) will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bay Meadows Family Golf Course Sunday.

The stage was set for another thrilling clash between Leland and Suttons Bay girls’ soccer teams as the skies cleared for their anticipated matchup on Monday. With both sides easy to claim victory, the Comets soared to triumph once again, securing a hard-fought 2-0 win over Suttons Bay.

Leland, Glen Lake, and Lake Leelanau St. Mary track teams are growing and excelling as the 2024 season continues to take shape.

Cadillac defeated Glen Lake in a double-header 20-8, 14-4 on Saturday. In game one, Jessie Pugh went 3-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.

Glen Lake baseball found it's groove on the artificial turf of the Traverse City Pitspitters at Turtle Creek Stadium on Saturday with a pair of wins over Suttons Bay and Harbor Spring. In the morning game, Glen Lake took on rival Suttons Bay and won 8-2 behind a 13-strikeout performance by senior Cooper Bufalini.

Glen Lake junior Michael Houtteman proved he is one of the prep golfers on the high school circuit as he finished first in a field of 216 golfers at the TCC Golf Invitational hosted by Crystal Mountain on Friday and Saturday.

In a close 3-1 match, Charlevoix proved too much for Suttons Bay girls soccer team on Monday. Charlevoix Rayders went into the break up 1-0.

Frankfort defeated Glen Lake softball team in both games Tuesday 8-2, 14-3 during a Northwest Conference opener. Paige Flores was the losing pitcher with two strikeouts and six innings pitched.

Leland and Lake Leelanau St. Mary track teams competed in the Charlevoix Invitational on Friday, April 19.

Last week, the Leland girls’ soccer team suffered a loss to Grand Rapids West Catholic (GRWC), but they bounced back with a pair of wins, showing the Comets’ resilience. The Comets traveled to Elk Rapids on Friday to face GRWC and Elk Rapids in a tournament..
