Alisha Glass, nationally-recognized setter for the three-time consecutive NCAA Division I championship volleyball team at Penn State, is returning to Leland to speak.

Glass will be at the Leland Public School high school gymnasium Thursday, March 11 to present Setting in Pursuit of a Dream hosted by the Leland Education Foundation (LEF).

She will share her journey of fulfilling her dreams beginning as a Leelanau youth to her current position of the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball team. Glass will talk about how she has evolved from a youth athlete with nontraditional experience to obtaining a highly awarded collegiate career.

Glass is speaking as part of the Insight and Inspiration Speaker Series, sponsored by the LEF.

The evening is open to all ages and will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a short question and answer session. Tickets are available for $10 at the door or in advance from the Leland school office, Pedaling Beans in Lake Leelanau or The Front Porch in Leland.

Students admission is $5 at the door or $4 in advance. Family attendance is encouraged with a special rate of $25.

All proceeds benefit the LEF with funds enrichment programs for Leland Public School students and classrooms.
