Brilliant Books in Suttons Bay will host a book launch party Saturday at 6 p.m. for award-winning poet and author Fleda Brown’s collection of memoir essays, called Driving with Dvorak.

Brown moved to Traverse City in 2007 from Delaware, where she was the state’s poet laureate. She hosts a monthly show on Interlochen Public Radio and writes a regular column for the Record-Eagle.

The book launch party kicks off a series of events at the Suttons Bay bookstore featuring high-profile authors. Also scheduled to appear at the store over the next few months are writers Donald Lystra (Seasons of Water and Ice) on March 12, Lynne Rae Perkins, Doug Stanton, Thomas Lynch, Elizabeth Buzzelli and several others.
