Boy, talk about nothing going on, let me tell you, there is nothing going on around here. This is the time of year that even people who are not snowbirds go away for a week to a month.

Things coming up: St. Patty’s Day with crawls and dinners. More later.

Happy birthday wishes to former chief John Depuy.

The Glen Arbor Woman’s Club meeting will be held on March 9 at the home of Jan Marth. It’s the “Book Club” meeting, where members will share reviews of some great books. Bring a book for a book exchange.

The Olympics are over and ended with a great hockey game. Can’t say it was better than an NHL game, because it was Canadian all-stars vs. the USA all-stars of the NHL. What happened to amateur sports?

A little known fact to keep in mind when crawling on St. Pattty’s Day. In England, pub frequenters had a whistle baked into the rim or handle of their ceramic mugs. When they needed a refill they used the whistle to get some service. Think of that when you go to “wet your whistle.”

Careful on the ice.

Spring is coming, honest.
