Tara Alexandra Devirian of Boston and Trevor James Lord of Cambridge, Mass., were united in marriage Oct. 10, 2009 at Park Street Church in Boston. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Jeffrey Schuliger and the reception was held at the historic Lyman Estate in Waltham, Mass.
The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Sheila Pedapati. The bridesmaids were the bride’s friends, Erin Garwood and Aimee Barnes, and the groom’s cousin, Alexis Culotta.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Russell Lord. The groomsmen were the groom’s cousin, Aron Culotta, the groom’s friend, Timothy Straveler, and the bride’s brothers, Jonathan Devirian and Philip Devirian.

The bride is the daughter of Donald Devirian and Diana Devirian, both of Los Angeles. She is the granddaughter of published poet and Omena historian and resident Elizabeth C. Armstrong and the late Norman E. Armstrong. The bride has spent many vacations during her life visiting her grandmother in Omena, most recently at Christmas 2009 when the whole family from the East and West coasts gathered to celebrate Betty Armstrong’s 90th birthday and the holidays.
The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master of Science degree at Boston University. She is a clinical dietician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The groom is the son of Patrick Lord and Karen Cove of Neenah, Wis. He earned a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is an architect with a Boston firm.
The couple spent a one-week honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, and is residing in Cambridge.
