MORTGAGE SALE - Default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by Virginia Petroskey, a single woman, to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as nominee for lender and lender’s successors and/or assigns, Mortgagee, dated November 22, 2004 and recorded December 10, 2004 in Liber 835, Page 1, and An Affidavit of Scrivener’s Error to correct the legal description was recorded 9/22/09 in Liber 1027 Page 575, Leelanau County Records, Michigan. Said mortgage is now held by OneWest Bank FSB by assignment. There is claimed to be due at the date hereof the sum of One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Eighteen and 69/100 Dollars ($135,018.69) including interest at 5.063% per annum. Under the power of sale contained in said mortgage and the statute in such case made and provided, notice is hereby given that said mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises, or some part of them, at public vendue at the Leelanau County Courthouse, 8527 E. Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay in Leelanau County, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. on FEBRUARY 19, 2010. Said premises are located in the Township of Leland, Leelanau County, Michigan, and are described as: A parcel of land in the West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 26, Town 30 North, Range 12 West, Leland Township, Leelanau County, Michigan, described more fully as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 26, Town 30 North, Range 12 West, thence Southerly along the North-South East one-eighth line, a distance of 408.67 feet, for a Point of Beginning; thence South 221.33 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of the Joseph Pleva Lot; thence West 100 feet; thence Northerly, parallel to said one-eighth line, 224.5 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right of way line of Highway M-204; thence South 88 degrees 11 minutes 03 seconds East, 100.05 feet, along said right of way line to the Point of Beginning. Subject to utility easement recorded in Liver 196, Page 229, Leelanau County Records. The redemption period shall be 12 months from the date of such sale, unless determined abandoned in accordance with MCLA 600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of such sale.
